Most are good except for the one that says that you should keep back a percentage of winnings, or any advice that says anything about “money management”. Money Management in a casino is a complete superstition. The only two games where money management comes into play is live poker and card counting blackjack. It means that you need to make sure you have enough to survive a bad count at blackjack and still have enough to bet big on the good counts. As far as the other games go, it doesn’t matter how much you bet at any given time because each and every bet is separate from each other.
The real best way to give you the edge in a casino is to pick one hand and put every thing you intend to bet down. It’s the shortest amount of time played and in the short term you can win.
